A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist in the York, PA area, serving a large 500-bed hospital. This position offers a variable days and afternoons schedule, beginning as soon as possible. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic and fast-paced inpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure quality and compliance
• Collaborate and consult with physicians regarding patient medication therapy
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize drug dosing and patient outcomes
• Utilize hospital systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
• Approximately two years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems is highly desirable
• Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage clinical and supervisory duties
