Pharmacist | Lancaster, Pennsylvania

A prominent 500-bed hospital in the York, PA area is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to support their inpatient pharmacy operations. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment with an ASAP start and a duration of approximately 13 weeks or longer.

Location: York, PA
Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Consult with physicians regarding medication therapies and patient care
• Apply pharmacokinetics principles to optimize drug dosing and administration
• Utilize hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to support pharmacy operations

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare providers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
