Pharmacist - Lancaster, PA

A large 500-bed hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team. This contract position offers an immediate start and extends for 13 weeks or longer. The schedule includes variable days and afternoon shifts, providing some flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee daily operations
• Consult with physicians regarding medication therapy and patient care
• Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dose adjustments
• Utilize healthcare IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Approximately 2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of medication order verification and clinical pharmacy practices
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
• Excellent communication skills for physician collaboration and patient consultations
