This role involves critical support in the inpatient hospital pharmacy setting, focusing on the safe and effective use of medications for hospitalized patients. The pharmacist will ensure accurate medication dispensing by evaluating drug orders from physicians and physician extenders, confirming the appropriateness of drug selection, dosage, frequency, and administration route. Comprehensive review of patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and laboratory results is integral to preventing clinical conflicts.

Key responsibilities include managing medication inventory, providing drug information to healthcare team members, and supervising pharmacy students and technicians to maintain accuracy and safety in medication preparation. Collaboration with the healthcare team for discharge planning and continuity of care is also essential.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (required)
  • Doctorate Degree (PharmD) preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting preferred
  • Valid PA Pharmacist License (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
