A healthcare facility in Laughlin, NV, is seeking a dedicated travel pharmacist to start immediately on a contract basis. This role offers a unique schedule with seven days on followed by seven days off, working 10 to 12-hour shifts that differ on weekdays and weekends. The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication use while collaborating with the medical team.

Schedule:

  • Weekdays: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Weekends: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
  • 10 to 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct order verification to ensure accuracy and safety
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in daily operations
  • Consult with physicians and nurses regarding patient medication needs
  • Monitor pharmacokinetics for optimizing drug therapy outcomes
  • Utilize MedHost EMR system for documentation and communication

Qualifications:

  • Valid Arizona pharmacy license
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
  • Hospital pharmacy experience with proficiency in intravenous (IV) medication preparation and management
  • IV certification and relevant hands-on experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
