This opportunity offers a rewarding role as a Staff Pharmacist within a specialty pharmacy focused on behavioral health medications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety and adherence to guidelines
  • Provide thorough patient counseling to support medication adherence and understanding
  • Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth workflow and compliance with protocols
  • Collaborate closely with a team of pharmacists and support staff to deliver quality pharmaceutical care

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland Pharmacist license in good standing with no disciplinary history
  • Previous experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings
  • Strong background in behavioral health medications, demonstrating familiarity with treatment protocols and patient needs

Schedule & Workload:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, working 3 to 5 days per week (flexibility welcomed)
  • Pharmacy handles around 100–200 prescriptions daily
  • Utilizes PioneerRX pharmacy system, supported by a team including 5 pharmacy technicians and an additional staff pharmacist, ensuring team coverage with two pharmacists on duty
