Pharmacist | Lebanon, Pennsylvania

A travel pharmacist position is available at a 160-bed community hospital located in Lebanon, PA. This contract role offers an opportunity to provide critical pharmacy services in a hospital setting, supporting patient care and collaborating with clinical teams.

Schedule & Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
• Every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee daily pharmacy operations
• Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapies and adjustments
• Apply pharmacokinetics principles in patient care, including monitoring and dosing
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and communication
• Manage medication dispensing with Pyxis technology
• Provide support for chemotherapy protocols and medication preparation as needed

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Experience or exposure to chemotherapy preferred, but not mandatory
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a clinical setting

This contract lasts 13 weeks or longer with an ASAP start date. The role requires interaction with various healthcare professionals and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.
