A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 160-bed community hospital in Lebanon, PA. This contract position offers an ASAP start with a commitment of 13 weeks or longer. The role provides a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment where you will utilize your skills to ensure safe and effective medication use for patients.
Schedule/Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Work every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies
- Manage pharmacokinetics and individualized patient dosing
- Support chemotherapy preparation and monitoring when applicable
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license
- Hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a community hospital setting
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
- Some exposure to chemotherapy protocols and handling preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
