Pharmacist - Lees Summit, MO

A well-established 250-bed community hospital in the Kansas City, MO suburbs is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team. This contract opportunity offers a stable weekday schedule at a reputable facility, perfect for both local and traveling pharmacists.

Location:

• Lees Summit, MO (Kansas City metropolitan area)

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Duration:

• 13 weeks with potential extension

Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
• Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient care
• Utilize hospital systems such as Meditech and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Pharmacist license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of medication order verification and pharmacokinetics
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis systems is a plus
