Per Diem Pharmacist - Lena, IL

Provide essential pharmaceutical care as a Per Diem pharmacist covering retail operations in Galena, Illinois. This role involves working under the direct supervision of the manager to ensure safe, accurate dispensing of medications and counseling patients on their medication regimens. This short-term assignment requires availability on specific dates with first-shift hours, supporting effective pharmacy services with the use of Pioneer software.

Schedule/Hours:

• August 20-21 and September 1
• 1st shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely while adhering to regulatory standards.
• Counsel patients regarding their medications and ensure understanding of regimens.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain stock levels and detailed records of controlled drugs and inventory.
• Resolve patient issues and clarify insurance or third-party coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in Illinois is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency with Pioneer pharmacy software is preferred.
