LTC Pharmacist | Lenexa, Kansas

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a Long-Term Care (LTC) and Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD) pharmacy serving the Lenexa, KS area. This role offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and patient care in an established pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct primary prescription verification (PV2) including checking and verifying medications.
• Receive training to perform PV1 tasks based on demonstrated aptitude.
• Manage high-volume prescription processing with attention to accuracy.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to ensure smooth workflow using the Frameworks system.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working split shifts: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Provide occasional Saturday coverage as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Pharmacist license in Connecticut (CT) required.
• Prior experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy preferred; retail pharmacy experience considered with willingness to adapt to LTC volume.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a dedication to patient safety.

Schedule:

• Flexible shifts between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Some Saturday availability may be necessary.
