This opportunity invites a seasoned pharmacy professional to lead as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a 503A Compounding Pharmacy. This pivotal role carries full regulatory accountability, directing the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of both sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. The PIC will ensure adherence to state, federal, FDA, and USP standards while managing daily pharmacy operations, quality systems, personnel training, and facility readiness.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses
  • Acting as the main liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
  • Reporting operational and facility changes or PIC transitions in accordance with regulations
  • Overseeing sterile and non-sterile compounding processes including batch record management
  • Leading quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement programs
  • Supervising pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
  • Supporting production scheduling to meet delivery deadlines and maintain accurate inventory

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager in a compounding environment
  • Expertise in USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations for 503A pharmacy operations
  • Proven experience in leading audits and managing regulatory inspections

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Flexible availability on Saturdays if required

Location: Kennedy Square, PA
