A Per Diem Pharmacist position is available for coverage from August 3rd to 7th in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. This role involves working the 1st shift from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and requires proficiency with Pioneer software.
Responsibilities include dispensing medications under direct manager supervision while ensuring safe and accurate delivery to patients. The pharmacist will counsel and advise patients regarding their medications and dosage regimens. Addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and in line with organizational policies is a key aspect of the role. Additional duties involve maintaining pharmacy stock, managing controlled drug records, performing inventories, and resolving any patient issues including clarifying third-party insurance coverage.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist with active state pharmacy license.
- Experience with medication dispensing and patient counseling.
- Familiarity with controlled substance handling and recordkeeping.
- Ability to use pharmacy software, preferably Pioneer.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
