Travel Pharmacist in Lewistown, PA

This opportunity is for a Pharmacist position in a hospital setting, located in Lewistown, PA, with a start date as soon as possible. This travel assignment is expected to last between 6 to 8 months, providing a chance to gain valuable experience at a 150-bed community hospital. The work schedule includes variable days and afternoons, with some flexibility to accommodate your needs.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient medication therapy.
• Utilize IT systems including Meditech, PharmacyKeeper, and Pyxis for daily pharmacy functions.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• Full-time availability during the contract period.
• Experience with Meditech is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
