A well-established pharmacy in Liberty Lake, WA, is seeking a Pharmacist for a 9-week contract beginning August 3. This role involves working Monday through Friday with day and evening shifts, and possible weekend rotations. Travelers are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept and dispense prescription medications while ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Monitor patient medication use, identifying patterns of non-compliance or overuse.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy records.
- Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer related questions.
- Provide consultations on prescription and OTC medications including storage and drug interactions.
- Offer health services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on handling medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions as needed.
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
- Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with an active WA state license.
- Experience in retail pharmacy is accepted; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform PV1 and PV2 duties effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams.
