An opportunity is available for a Retail Pharmacist in Likely, CA, to support a well-established medical center’s pharmacy services. This role involves managing retail pharmaceutical operations under the guidance of the Retail Pharmacy Manager, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. You will play a vital part in the procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications, providing accurate pharmaceutical care to patients and collaborating closely with healthcare professionals.

Location:

• Based in Likely, CA

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday

Duration:

• 8 weeks, with a start date ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Compound and dispense prescribed medications, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Supervise pharmacy personnel involved in preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals
• Counsel patients on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage when appropriate
• Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and hazardous waste disposal protocols
• Manage pharmacy records and third-party prescription systems with attention to detail
• Foster positive working relationships with healthcare providers and customers
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with pharmacy laws and best practices
• Assist in maximizing sales and controlling expenses within the retail pharmacy setting

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of California
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently and work collaboratively within a healthcare environment
