A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care at a 160-bed community hospital in Lebanon, PA. This contract position offers a chance to apply your hospital pharmacy skills in a supportive environment and contribute to patient wellness through comprehensive medication management.
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervising pharmacy technicians and coordinating workflow
- Consulting with physicians and nursing staff to optimize pharmacotherapy
- Managing pharmacokinetics and individualized drug therapies
- Utilizing EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis systems to maintain accurate medication dispensing
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Valid PA pharmacist license
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis software systems
- Exposure to chemotherapy preparation and handling is advantageous
Work schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Working every 3rd or 4th Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
