This opportunity seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide temporary staffing support at a small, community hospital with 25 licensed beds and an average daily census of 25-30 patients. The role requires expertise in medication dispensing and clinical services within a hospital setting, supporting a multidisciplinary team across emergency, infusion, and orthopedic specialty areas.

Location: Logan, OH
Job Type: Contract
Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Occasional Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • On-call duty required after some shifts

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Ohio (required)
  • Experience with EPIC order entry system strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage medication distribution and clinical review in a hospital environment
  • Familiarity with emergency department, infusion therapy, and orthopedic patient care preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and dispense medications accurately for inpatient and outpatient needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide medication support as needed after standard hours
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support integration of pharmacy services across specialties including Emergency, Infusion, and Orthopedics

This contract assignment begins between September 8th and September 14th and offers a chance to work in a close-knit hospital setting that values patient-centered care. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team within a modestly sized facility.
