Pharmacist in Long Beach, CA

This direct hire opportunity seeks a highly skilled Pharmacist specializing in oncology to join a well-established 400-bed hospital located just east of Downtown Los Angeles. The position is based in an outpatient infusion and cancer center setting, offering a focused environment to deliver expert care to cancer patients.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and safety in medication dispensing
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, maintaining smooth operational workflows
• Collaborate closely with oncologists, physicians, and nurses to develop and optimize patient-specific cancer treatment therapies
• Utilize Allscripts IT system for documentation and medication management

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist License is required
• Completion of PGY2 residency or approximately 3+ years of experience in a cancer center pharmacy setting
• Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) credential preferred
• Strong communication skills to effectively consult and coordinate with healthcare teams
