Pharmacist | Long Beach, California

A well-established pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist who is bilingual in Spanish and English for a full-time, contract-to-perm opportunity. Location: Van Nuys, CA
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Rotating every 3rd Saturday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
  Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Temp-to-Perm)

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify approximately 250 prescriptions daily with accuracy and safety
• Conduct comprehensive clinical medication reviews focusing on appropriateness, interactions, dosing, and therapeutic outcomes
• Provide extensive patient counseling, especially related to diabetes management including insulin use, injectables, CGMs, oral agents, and lifestyle guidance
• Monitor chronic disease states and perform clinical assessments for a large diabetic patient population
• Collaborate with prescribers to clarify orders, recommend therapy adjustments, and optimize patient care
• Identify and resolve medication-related issues and adherence challenges
• Manage pharmacy workflow to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards
• Support a patient-centered environment dedicated to long-term health outcomes

Qualifications:

• B.S. or PharmD from an accredited Pharmacy School
• Active and clear California Pharmacist License
• Minimum 2 years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with diabetic clinical assessments preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred
• Demonstrated reliability, strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care
