Experienced pharmacist opportunity available within a dynamic healthcare setting serving a 173-bed facility with an average daily census of 140 patients. This role offers engaging responsibilities focused on ensuring safe and effective medication management, supporting the medical team, and overseeing pharmacy operations.

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable day and afternoon shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Provide leadership and supervision for pharmacy technicians
• Collaborate closely with nurses and physicians for patient care
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication therapy
• Manage medication dispensing utilizing Pyxis automated cabinets
• Use Allscripts/Paragon order entry system for prescription management

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in good standing
• Proven ability to perform accurate order verification
• Strong communication skills for effective consultation with healthcare professionals
• Familiarity with automated dispensing systems (Pyxis) is preferred
• Experience with Allscripts/Paragon or similar order entry systems
• Ability to oversee pharmacy technician workflow and ensure compliance
