Pharmacist in Long Beach, CA

A full-time night shift pharmacist position is available starting Monday, May 11, to address an urgent staffing need due to a Pyxis system crisis and a mandate from CDPH requiring pharmacist coverage overnight. This contract opportunity offers primarily Monday through Friday eight-hour shifts, with some schedule flexibility, for an assignment lasting at least eight weeks.

This role supports a 117-bed facility with an average daily census of 44 patients. The pharmacy utilizes Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets and the Paragon/Allscripts order entry system. Key responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with nursing and medical staff, and performing pharmacokinetic assessments.

Qualified candidates will hold a pharmacist license and be able to demonstrate compliance with Soliant onboarding requirements to begin quickly. New graduates and retail pharmacists are encouraged to apply, as the facility values diverse experience levels.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist eligible to work in California
