A full-time Pharmacist opportunity is available in the Los Angeles area, offering the chance to work primarily day shifts with variable hours including afternoons. This role involves providing pharmaceutical support across multiple nearby hospitals, all located within 10 to 15 miles of Norwalk, facilitating diverse professional experiences in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians.
• Consult with nurses and physicians to optimize medication use.
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to ensure safe and effective drug therapy.
• Utilize the Allscripts/Paragon Order Entry System efficiently.
• Manage medications using Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets.
• Float between sister hospital locations as needed, supporting pharmacy operations across facilities.

Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist license to practice in California.
• Experience with order entry systems, preferably Allscripts/Paragon.
• Familiarity with Pyxis or other automated dispensing systems.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to perform pharmacokinetics assessments.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Ability to manage multitasking demands and float between hospital sites.

Location:

• Based in Long Beach, CA, with travel to nearby hospitals within a 10-15 mile radius.
