Pharmacist | Long Beach, California

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to serve in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Rehabilitation hospital setting located in downtown Los Angeles, CA, near Dodger Stadium. This role focuses on providing expert pharmaceutical care to a complex patient population, many of whom are on ventilators, requiring specialized attention and clinical knowledge.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and compliance
• Collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members to optimize patient medication therapy
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles to monitor and adjust drug regimens as necessary
• Maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to hospital policies and procedures

The position offers a day-shift schedule of four 10-hour workdays per week, supporting a balanced work routine. The contract is month-to-month with the potential for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday shifts (TTH) as needed.

Desired qualifications:

• Active California pharmacist license
• Experience working in an inpatient hospital environment, preferably with LTAC or rehab patients
• Strong clinical and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Local candidates preferred for ease of scheduling and orientation
• Ability to start promptly, ideally during the week of June 1
