An immediate opening is available for a Pharmacist on a contract basis, offering an opportunity to contribute expertise in a dynamic hospital setting. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in hospital pharmacy operations and the flexibility to work variable day and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders accurately, supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure safe and efficient medication distribution, and collaborating closely with nurses and physicians to optimize patient care through pharmacokinetics consultation. Familiarity with Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems and Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets is essential for efficient workflow management.

This position supports a hospital with 117 licensed beds and an average daily census of 44 patients. Assignments may require floating to sister hospitals located within a 10-15 mile radius, providing diverse operational experiences and the opportunity to adapt to different environments within the hospital network.

Key Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in good standing
• Experience with hospital pharmacy order verification
• Proficiency using Allscripts and Paragon order entry systems

• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to float to nearby sister hospitals as needed
