A healthcare facility in Long Beach, CA is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a contract position lasting 13 weeks or more. This role involves supporting the pharmacy operations in a hospital with 117 licensed beds and an average daily census of 44 patients.

Schedule:

• Variable day and afternoon shifts to provide flexible coverage

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Oversee and manage pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Consult with nurses and physicians to provide expert pharmaceutical advice
• Perform pharmacokinetic assessments as needed for individualized patient care
• Utilize the Allscripts/Paragon order entry system for medication management
• Operate Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets for streamlined medication distribution

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist license in the state of California
• Experience with inpatient hospital pharmacy practice
• Proficiency with Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems
