An opportunity is available for an experienced oncology pharmacist to join a well-established outpatient infusion and cancer center located just east of Downtown Los Angeles. This direct-hire position offers the chance to work within a respected hospital setting with approximately 400 beds, serving a diverse patient population focused on cancer care.

Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and collaborating closely with oncologists, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure patients receive optimal cancer therapies. The role requires frequent clinical consultation and contribution to patient-centered treatment plans. Proficiency with Allscripts pharmacy IT systems will support daily operations and documentation.

Ideal candidates will hold an active California pharmacist license and have completed a PGY2 oncology residency or possess roughly three or more years of dedicated oncology pharmacy experience in a cancer center setting. Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is highly preferred to demonstrate specialized expertise. The schedule is Monday through Friday, full daytime hours, providing a stable and predictable workweek.

Key Qualifications:

  • California pharmacist license required
  • PGY2 oncology residency or minimum 3 years oncology pharmacy experience
  • Experience in outpatient infusion/cancer center pharmacy setting
  • Strong clinical and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Proficiency with Allscripts or similar pharmacy software
  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) preferred
