Pharmacist - Los Angeles, CA

A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services in a well-established healthcare facility with a licensed bed capacity of 173 and an average daily census of 140 patients. This contract position offers variable day and afternoon coverage hours, supporting pharmacy operations with the latest technology and collaboration across clinical teams.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety and compliance
• Supervise and provide oversight to pharmacy technicians
• Consult with nurses and physicians regarding medication therapy and patient care
• Apply clinical pharmacokinetics principles to optimize medication use and patient outcomes
• Utilize the Order Entry System (Allscripts/Paragon) for seamless workflow management
• Manage Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets effectively to maintain medication inventory and security

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Pharmacist license and relevant credentials
• Strong proficiency with Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems preferred
• Experience working with Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets or similar technology
• Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
• Prior experience in hospital or healthcare setting with active patient census management
