A full-time night shift pharmacist position is available starting Monday night, May 11th, to address an urgent need related to Pyxis automation and a recent mandate requiring overnight pharmacist coverage. This role involves working primarily Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts, although some scheduling flexibility is offered. The assignment is expected to last at least eight weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance and quality.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to provide pharmaceutical consultations.
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring.
• Utilize Paragon/Allscripts for order entry.
• Work with Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets for medication distribution.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license.
• Willingness to work full-time night shifts.
• Experience with retail pharmacy or new graduates are welcome, provided they meet compliance requirements.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an emergency operational setting.
• Familiarity with Paragon/Allscripts systems and Pyxis automation is a plus.
