Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Oversee and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure seamless pharmacy operations
- Consult regularly with nurses and physicians regarding medication management and patient care
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize drug therapy
- Utilize Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems and manage Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets efficiently
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current pharmacist licensure in good standing
- Experience with order verification and pharmacy technician oversight
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations within a multi-hospital system
- Knowledge of Allscripts/Paragon software and Pyxis systems preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively consult healthcare teams
Schedule & Location:
- Full-time day shifts with variable coverage during day and afternoon hours
