Pharmacist - Los Angeles, California

Seeking an experienced pharmacist to support a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) and rehabilitation hospital in downtown Los Angeles, CA, near Dodger Stadium. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including many individuals on ventilators, providing essential pharmaceutical care in a challenging inpatient environment.

This contract position offers month-to-month engagement with a schedule of four 10-hour day shifts per week. The ideal candidate will have a California pharmacist license and proven inpatient experience, preferably local to the Los Angeles area, ensuring smooth integration into the team and community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification with accuracy and efficiency
• Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technician activities
• Consult closely with physicians regarding patient care and medication management
• Utilize pharmacokinetic knowledge to optimize medication dosing and patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards of care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in California
• Inpatient pharmacy experience, particularly in LTAC or rehab settings
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Familiarity with ventilator patient needs is advantageous
