A pharmacist position is available in a downtown Los Angeles LTAC/Rehab hospital specializing in complex patient care, including patients on ventilators. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute clinical expertise in an acute care setting, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
The position is contract-based with a month-to-month duration, starting the week of 6/1. The work schedule includes four 10-hour day shifts per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform order verification with accuracy and efficiency
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Consult with physicians and healthcare team members on medication management
- Conduct pharmacokinetic monitoring and assessments for critically ill patients
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California pharmacist license required
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy practice, preferably in LTAC or rehab settings
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Local candidates preferred for immediate start
