A Pharmacist role is available in a downtown Los Angeles long-term acute care (LTAC)/rehab hospital adjacent to Dodger Stadium. This contract position offers an engaging inpatient environment with a focus on patients requiring ventilator support, making it ideal for pharmacists interested in critical care pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and coordinate workflow within the pharmacy team
  • Collaborate with physicians through active consultation to optimize pharmacotherapy
  • Apply pharmacokinetic principles to adjust dosing and monitor therapy
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state pharmacy regulations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid California Pharmacist license is required
  • Previous inpatient experience, particularly in LTAC or rehab hospital settings, preferred
  • Comfortable managing high-acuity patients, including those on ventilators
  • Ability to work independently and lead a pharmacy team
  • Local candidates or those with the ability to start quickly are strongly preferred

Schedule:

  • 4 shifts per week, each shift is a 10-hour day shift
  • Days of work may vary but are primarily daytime hours

This month-to-month contract offers flexibility with an opportunity to start as early as the week of June 1. It is well suited for pharmacists looking to contribute their expertise in a specialized hospital setting while maintaining a structured work week.
