A Pharmacist role is available in a downtown Los Angeles long-term acute care (LTAC)/rehab hospital adjacent to Dodger Stadium. This contract position offers an engaging inpatient environment with a focus on patients requiring ventilator support, making it ideal for pharmacists interested in critical care pharmacy services.
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and coordinate workflow within the pharmacy team
- Collaborate with physicians through active consultation to optimize pharmacotherapy
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to adjust dosing and monitor therapy
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid California Pharmacist license is required
- Previous inpatient experience, particularly in LTAC or rehab hospital settings, preferred
- Comfortable managing high-acuity patients, including those on ventilators
- Ability to work independently and lead a pharmacy team
- Local candidates or those with the ability to start quickly are strongly preferred
Schedule:
- 4 shifts per week, each shift is a 10-hour day shift
- Days of work may vary but are primarily daytime hours
