This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacist to support a healthcare facility with 117 licensed beds and an average daily census of 44 patients. The role involves providing essential pharmacy services over a 13-week contract period with potential for extension. Coverage includes variable day and afternoon shifts, offering flexibility within the schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Oversee and coordinate pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
• Consult with nurses and physicians to optimize patient medication therapy.
• Apply knowledge of pharmacokinetics to patient care.
• Utilize the Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems for processing orders.
• Manage medication dispensing using Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current and active Pharmacist license.
• Proficiency with Allscripts and Paragon order entry systems.
• Experience working with Pyxis automated dispensing technology.
• Strong communication skills for clinical consultations.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff and maintain compliance with healthcare standards.
