We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a long-term assignment at a children's hospital in North Texas. This opportunity offers a unique 7-on/7-off schedule and the chance to work with a collaborative pediatric healthcare team in a highly specialized inpatient setting.
This assignment will begin on the night shift and later transition to a daytime schedule to provide coverage for a pharmacist leave of absence through January 2027.

Initial shift: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Transition to day shift anticipated in July/August

Responsibilities
Verify and review medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Provide clinical pharmacy support and medication recommendations
Monitor medication therapies and ensure safe medication practices
Assist with medication distribution and operational pharmacy functions
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and accreditation standards
Support pediatric patient care initiatives and medication management programs
Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to support pharmacy workflow
Required Qualifications
Active Texas Pharmacist License
Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
EPIC experience
Strong clinical and operational pharmacy knowledge
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
Flexibility to transition between night and day schedules as operational needs require
Preferred Qualifications
Pediatric hospital pharmacy experience
Experience working in a children's hospital
Familiarity with Pyxis automation systems
