Retail Pharmacist | Temporary Maternity Leave Coverage

We’re looking for a dedicated Retail Pharmacist to provide coverage for a maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a short-term assignment with a flexible schedule in Lufkin, Texas!

Assignment Details:

• Monday–Friday with flexible scheduling for daytime shifts!
• 1st shift: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM  or... 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• 2nd shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

What you’ll do:

• Verify prescriptions and ensure medications are dispensed accurately
• Counsel patients and answer medication-related questions
• Provide information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage
• Follow HIPAA and all applicable pharmacy regulations
• Maintain quality assurance and controlled-substance procedures
• Answer pharmacist-related phone calls and prescription messages
• Help resolve customer questions and concerns
• Work closely with the pharmacy team to provide great patient care

Requirements:

• 1+ year of recent retail pharmacy experience
• Clear and active Texas Pharmacist License
• Strong communication + customer service skills
