Pharmacist | Lyle, Washington

An opportunity is available for a pharmacist with current hospital experience to provide relief coverage in a small community near the Washington/Oregon border. This role involves stepping into a well-supported environment with scheduled coverage days and no after-hours call responsibility.

Location:

• Lyle, WA

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shifts 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Specific coverage dates: July 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 30, 31; August 6, 7, 14, 15, 20, 21, 24, 25; Fridays in September
• Thursday and weekend coverage not required

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy services as a relief pharmacist supporting inpatient care
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team and healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy
• Utilize IT systems, including Cerner and Pyxis, to ensure accurate and safe medication dispensing
• Support technician staff as they manage workflow and logistics

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year current hospital pharmacy experience is required
• Licensed pharmacist in good standing
• Proficiency with hospital pharmacy IT systems such as Cerner and Pyxis preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to integrate smoothly into the existing pharmacy team

This contract position includes a brief training period to ensure a smooth transition into the role. Technician coverage is provided to support your workflow, allowing focus on clinical responsibilities. There is flexibility in rate discussions based on candidate needs.
