Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13+ weeks
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Day Shift Position
Long-Term Acute Care Hospital
Average Daily Census: Approximately 10 patients
Key Responsibilities
Review, verify, and process medication orders accurately
Monitor patient medication therapies for safety and effectiveness
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Provide drug information and clinical recommendations
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations
Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
Support medication safety and quality improvement initiatives
Assist with daily pharmacy operations and patient care activities
Experience Required
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Experience reviewing and verifying medication orders
Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a small hospital environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education & Licensure
PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program
Active Virginia Pharmacist license required
