An opportunity is available to serve as a Hematology/Oncology Pharmacist specializing in CAR-T and Bone Marrow Transplant within a leading pediatric healthcare setting. This role focuses on providing advanced pharmacy services to neonates through young adults in an inpatient pediatric environment. The pharmacist acts as a pharmacology consultant, patient advocate, and integral team member supporting safe and effective drug therapy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing physician orders and ensuring safe medication dispensing and administration.
  • Delivering clinical pharmaceutical services tailored to hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) patients.
  • Supporting accreditations such as FACT by maintaining core competencies and continuing education.
  • Training and mentoring pharmacy students and residents.
  • Operating within a 24/7 inpatient pharmacy service with mixed shifts mainly consisting of 10-hour day shifts, some weekends, and limited evenings or overnights.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program preferred.
  • PGY2 Residency in Oncology and BCOP certification highly desirable.
  • Minimum two years of pediatric oncology pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Registered Pharmacist license with California State Board of Pharmacy.
  • PALS and BLS certifications required within specified timeframes; ACLS encouraged for specific areas.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is essential.
