Pharmacist | Madison Heights, Virginia

A Pharmacist is needed for a small Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital with a patient census of approximately 10 per day. This contract role offers an opportunity to work Monday through Friday during the day shift, with an immediate start and a duration of 13 weeks or longer.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately for LTAC patients
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care
• Manage medication inventories and compliance with regulatory standards
• Monitor patient medication therapies for efficacy and safety
• Provide drug information and counseling to healthcare providers and patients

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia Pharmacist license is required
• Some hospital pharmacy experience preferred, particularly in an acute or LTAC setting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a healthcare team
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced hospital environment
