A hospital in Madison, WI is seeking three inpatient pharmacists for a 13-week contract starting June 8. This role offers a mix of day and evening shifts, working five 8-hour shifts per week with a rotating schedule that includes every third weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient pharmacy services with a focus on acute care
- Manage pharmacokinetic and renal dosing, therapeutic medication monitoring, and pharmacotherapy management for various medical conditions
- Handle drug shortage management effectively
- Use the EPIC electronic medical record system for medication orders and documentation
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Strong skills in inpatient/acute care and pharmacotherapy
- Ability to perform pharmacokinetic dosing and renal dosing
- Experience with therapeutic medication monitoring and drug shortage management
- Licensed pharmacist holding a Wisconsin ACT-10 license (ACT-10 license acceptance confirmed)
- Must comply with facility requirements for fit testing; travelers need to shave for mask fit as CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided nor permitted on-site
- Candidates living within 70 miles will not be considered; this opportunity is open to travelers only
Location:
- Madison, Wisconsin
Schedule:
- Rotating shifts: Days (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) and Evenings (2:30 PM–11:00 PM)
- Five 8-hour shifts weekly
- Rotating every third weekend coverage
Additional Information:
- Scrubs will be provided upon start
- Non-billable hours: 12
