An inpatient pharmacist position is available in Madison, WI, for a 13-week contract starting March 30th. This role requires an experienced traveler with a valid Wisconsin ACT-10 pharmacy license, which is accepted for this assignment. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience; first-time travelers will not be considered.

Schedule:

  • 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
  • Mix of day shifts (6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and evening shifts (2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.)
  • Rotating every third weekend

Responsibilities include pharmacokinetic and renal dosing, therapeutic medication monitoring, managing drug shortages, and providing pharmacotherapy management in an acute care environment. Experience with inpatient/acute care pharmacy and proficiency in the Epic EMR system are mandatory.

Special requirements:

  • Travelers must be clean-shaven to pass mask fit testing since Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs) and Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPRs) are not provided, nor allowed to be used by travelers.
  • Scrubs will be provided upon starting.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Proficient in pharmacotherapy and medication monitoring
  • Knowledge of renal dosing and management of drug shortages
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical records system
  • Holds a Wisconsin ACT-10 license
