Pharmacist in Magalia, CA

A Northern California Level II Trauma Center is seeking three full-time Staff Pharmacists to support their pharmacy team. This role involves providing clinical judgment, professional expertise, and medication distribution within a hospital setting focused on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Location: Magalia, CA (Chico, CA area)
Shift: 10-hour shifts, varying schedule including days, evenings, nights, and weekends with no fixed days off

Position Summary:
The Staff Pharmacist ensures patients receive pharmaceutical care aligned with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and departmental standards. You will identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems through sound clinical judgment and professional knowledge. This position supports a culture emphasizing collaboration, empathy, and service excellence.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum one year hospital experience in an inpatient, decentralized pharmacy setting
• Proficient with pharmacy computer programs and Windows OS
• Demonstrated applying drug knowledge and clinical judgment to patient care

Licensing & Certifications:

• Current Registered Pharmacist license in California in good standing
• ACLS and PALS certifications (required within one year of hire; current staff have until 7/31/2027)

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Adaptability to frequent interruptions and varied workload
• Knowledge of controlled substance safe operations and Pyxis system
• Exercising sound professional judgment under pressure
