A well-established Level II Trauma Center in beautiful Northern California seeks experienced pharmacists to contribute to a patient-centered, compassionate care environment. This full-time role involves varied 10-hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, requiring adaptability with no fixed days off. The position supports a mission focused on elevating community health through empathy, collaboration, and professional excellence.
Responsibilities include delivering clinical judgment and pharmaceutical expertise to ensure patients receive optimal medication therapy. You will identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related issues within established hospital and pharmacy protocols and comply with federal and state regulations. This role is essential to fostering service excellence and supporting multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a decentralized inpatient setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Pharmacist license in good standing with the State of California
- Current ACLS certification (to be obtained within one year of hire; existing staff have until 7/31/2027)
- Current PALS certification (to be obtained within one year of hire; existing staff have until 7/31/2027)
- Preferred: One year of hospital pharmacy experience in inpatient, decentralized settings
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and Windows OS
- Strong clinical judgment and drug knowledge
- Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle interruptions, and adapt to changing workload and schedules
- Familiarity with CII Safe/PYXIS operations
