Duration: 13+ weeks
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
- Some weekends required
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and dispense medications in a long term care pharmacy environment
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Provide patient counseling and support to healthcare providers
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Iowa Pharmacist License or Iowa Temporary License
- Experience in long term care pharmacy preferred
- Immunization Certification (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
