Pharmacist in Marana, AZ

A 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ, is seeking two full-time night pharmacists for a 13-week contract. This role involves collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and patients to ensure safe and effective medication use in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with physicians on drug therapy and dosing decisions
• Educating nursing staff, patients, and physicians about medications
• Leading medication safety initiatives and monitoring patient profiles
• Identifying, avoiding, and reporting adverse drug reactions
• Preparing IV admixtures and nutritional supplements accurately
• Managing narcotic accountability with strict compliance

Schedule:

• Night shift, 7 days on, 7 days off
• Wednesday to Tuesday rotation

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacology and medication safety
• Ability to effectively communicate with interdisciplinary teams
• Skilled in handling IV admixtures and narcotic controls
