Pharmacist in Marana, AZ

Deliver expert pharmaceutical care as a pharmacist within a 200-bed hospital setting in the Tucson, AZ area. This role provides an opportunity to collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and patients to ensure the safe and effective use of medications during a 13-week contract assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians on medication selection and dosing to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on proper medication use and safety
• Implement medication safety initiatives and monitor patient profiles for adverse drug reactions
• Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements, maintaining strict narcotic accountability
• Participate actively in reporting and preventing medication errors to promote a culture of safety

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license and credentials to practice in Arizona
• Experience working in an acute care or hospital environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication safety protocols, and IV admixture preparation
• Ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and patients
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and compliance
