Pharmacist in Marana, AZ

A healthcare facility in Tucson, AZ is seeking experienced pharmacists to fill various shifts, including day, afternoon, and night hours. A preferred schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off working nights. This 13-week contract opportunity offers a chance to contribute to a 200-bed hospital setting, supporting comprehensive pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with physicians on drug therapy and dosing decisions
• Educating nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication use and safety
• Leading medication safety initiatives to ensure compliance and best practices
• Reviewing patient profiles to prevent adverse drug reactions and reporting any issues
• Preparing IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and managing narcotic accountability

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with relevant state certification
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings, preferably in acute care
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and education
• Knowledge of medication safety protocols and IV admixture preparation
• Ability to manage narcotics in compliance with regulations
