Pharmacist - Marietta, Georgia

This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with 2-3 years of experience working in a high-volume setting, who is open to a temporary contract assignment. The role supports a mail order, renal specialty pharmacy managing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily.

Location:

• Marietta, GA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• ASAP start

Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) processes
• Final verification of prescriptions ensuring accuracy of medication and directions
• Verify prescription information against hard-copy documents
• Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system (no automation involved)
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards
• Support high-volume workflow efficiently without requiring on-call duties

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of pharmacy experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing prescription orders
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with mail order or specialty pharmacy operations preferred
• Comfortable working the designated evening shift hours

This contract role is initially set for 13 weeks with the potential to convert to contract-to-hire, offering a chance to gain valuable experience in a specialty pharmacy environment.
