Pharmacist - Marietta, GA

An opportunity is available for a pharmacist with 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume pharmacy environment. This role involves working in a fast-paced mail order and renal specialty pharmacy handling approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. The position suits candidates comfortable with a temporary contract role, with potential for contract-to-hire after 13 weeks.

Location: Marietta, GA
Type: Contract (13 weeks+ with potential contract-to-hire)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) tasks, including final verification of prescriptions
• Confirm medication accuracy in bottles or boxes
• Verify directions and prescription details against hard copy documents
• Utilize Wellsky pharmacy order entry system for daily operations
• Adhere to pharmacy protocols without the requirement for on-call duties

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription verification
• Positive attitude and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with mail order or specialty pharmacy workflows preferred
