Pharmacist - Marksville, LA

Join a healthcare team at a 200+ bed community hospital serving patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This pharmacist role offers an opportunity to contribute to quality patient care through comprehensive pharmacy services.

Location:

• Alexandria, LA

Schedule:

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
• Rotating schedule with varying hours: 6 AM–4:30 PM, 7 AM–5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM–11 PM
• Every other weekend rotation

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses for optimal pharmacologic care
• Manage pharmacokinetics and patient-specific dosing adjustments
• Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC) and medication management systems (Pyxis)

Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana pharmacist license
• Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
