Pharmacist - Mashpee, Massachusetts

A night shift Pharmacist opportunity awaits at a community hospital on Cape Cod, approximately 70 miles south of Boston. This 200-bed facility requires a dedicated professional to ensure accurate medication management and effective support for the healthcare team during overnight hours.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work cycle: 7 days on, 7 days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
• Perform pharmacokinetic calculations and interpretations
• Provide consultation to physicians and nurses regarding medications and patient care
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing system to manage patient information and drug distribution

Ideal Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, with familiarity in inpatient medication management
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
• Strong communication and decision-making skills, essential for night shift clinical operations
