Pharmacist in Mechanicsburg, PA

Join a dynamic healthcare environment as a Travel Pharmacist in Lebanon, PA, serving a 160-bed community hospital. This contract opportunity offers an immediate start and an assignment lasting 13 weeks or longer. You will play a vital role in supporting patient care through expert pharmaceutical services within a collaborative hospital team.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication regimens, and managing pharmacokinetics. Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems will enable efficient handling of pharmacy operations. Exposure to chemotherapy treatments is a plus, enhancing your contribution to specialized patient care.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• Every 3rd or 4th Saturday (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Exposure to chemotherapy protocols advantageous
