Pharmacist in Mechanicsburg, PA

This role offers an engaging opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to contribute to patient care in a community hospital setting. The position is based in Lebanon, PA, at a 160-bed hospital that values clinical expertise and collaborative practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing order verification for medications to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient operations
• Consulting with physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy
• Applying pharmacokinetics principles when dosing medications
• Utilizing electronic health records (EPIC) and managing automated dispensing systems (Pyxis)

The schedule is a full-time 40 hours per week, typically between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with every 3rd or 4th Saturday shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This contract assignment starts as soon as possible and spans at least 13 weeks.

Ideal candidates will have:

• A current Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Exposure or experience with chemotherapy medication handling
