Pharmacist - Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

Join a 160-bed community hospital as a traveling pharmacist, providing essential pharmaceutical care and support. This contract role offers an immediate start for 13+ weeks in Lebanon, PA. You will be working 40 hours per week with shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, including every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication orders
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, guiding their daily tasks and workflow
• Consult with physicians and nurses to optimize patient medication therapy
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring when required
• Utilize hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to support clinical operations

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a community hospital setting
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Familiarity with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems
• Exposure to chemotherapy medication preparation and handling is a plus
