A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a small 40-bed hospital located in northern central Wisconsin. This role offers the flexibility of scheduling options, including a 4x10-hour day shift schedule or a 7-on/7-off day shift rotation, providing a strong work-life balance. The position is set to begin as soon as possible and has an initial duration of 13 weeks or longer.

Schedule:

  • 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating weekends
  • Alternatively, a blocked schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off (day shift) may be considered

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple concurrent responsibilities in a central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying EPIC medication orders, reviewing technician work, and responding to pharmacist inquiries
  • Prepare and provide inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy
  • Serve a patient census averaging 30-40 inpatients across various units such as Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, ED, and inpatient/outpatient surgery
  • Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for order verification and documentation

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist with current credentials
  • Experience working in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
  • Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining accuracy and patient safety
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment serving diverse clinical areas
