A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to support a 75-bed hospital in a rural Northern Wisconsin setting. This contract role offers the chance to apply your expertise in a dynamic inpatient pharmacy environment, working primarily day shifts with a mix of 10- and 8-hour schedules over a 13-week assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks within a central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying medication orders in EPIC, reviewing technician work, and responding to pharmacist inquiries.
  • Prepare and dispense inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy.
  • Support a patient census averaging 30-40, covering diverse areas such as inpatient and outpatient surgery, medical-surgical units, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, and emergency department services.
  • Utilize EPIC pharmacy system to ensure accurate medication management and documentation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed pharmacist with experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings.
  • Proficiency in using EPIC electronic health records software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience with infusion therapies including chemotherapy is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends with shorter shifts when rotating.

Schedule:

  • Primarily 10-hour day shifts.
  • Occasionally 8-hour day shifts during weekend rotation.
  • Assignment length: 13 weeks, with an ASAP start date.
